Akala to attend World Meditation Day 2018 at Fabric
The award-winning rapper and poet Akala will attend World Meditation Day at the world famous Fabric
Akala is great with words, phrases, expressing and all round intellectual ambition. Announced as the latest artist to attend World Meditation Day, Akala is set to give a spoken word performance ahead of his new book Natives, which is released on 17 May.
The co-founder of The Hip-Hop Shakespeare Company will be attending the one-off event at the notorious Fabric nightclub in London. Having only just regained access to open, Fabric will be hosting this enlightening event to bring a positive light to the nightclub.
Alongside Akala, founder Will Williams will be making sure all attendees stay relaxed, while welcoming B. Traits and Jordan Rakei to bring the ambient sounds. There will also be nutrition experts to help those who are serious about improving the wellbeing and positivity in their life.
The contradiction of hosting the relaxing event in one of London's most bustling hotspots comes with a reason, as founder Will Williams explains, "I was always a massive party boy and had many a debauched night in Fabric, but having realised there is a more balanced way to achieve my highs, and stay feeling good all week long, my team and I are spreading the meditation love with events and courses that are accessible and relevant for everyday folks. This is Manumission for the 21st Century".
