AIM Independent Music Awards 2013 announce nominations

Indie music celebratory event, the AIM Independent Music Awards have announced their nominations shortlist for 2013.

Grimes, Daughter and Palma Violets are among those listed for Independent Breakthrough artists, while Nick Cave, The xx, Daughter again and more are in for the Album of the Year award.

Elsewhere, Bella Union are up for best indie label for the second year running, while John Grant and Ghostpoet add tough competition to the ‘Best Difficult Second Album’ accolade.

The event takes place on 3 September at The Brewery in London, hosted by Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq.
