AIM Independent Music Awards 2012 announce nominations shortlist

The AIM Independent Music Awards 2012 have announced their nominations shortlist for this year’s ceremony.

Grimes, Poliça and Alt-J are among those listed for Independent Breakthrough artists, while Liars and Rustie are in for the Album of the Year award.

Elsewhere, 4AD and Bella Union are up for best indie label and First Aid Kit look probable for the ‘Best Difficult Second Album’ accolade.

The event takes place on 29 October at The Brewery in Clerkenwell, London hosted by Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq,with tickets available now.
