Agnes Obel previews new record Citizen Of Glass with "Golden Green"
Danish multi-instrumentalist Agnes Obel shares "Golden Green", the potent new single from upcoming record Citizen Of Glass.
The Berlin-based artist stirs her vocals with vibraphone, piano, and percussion, conjuring brilliance in the process.
Speaking about the track, Obel says: “[It's about] how the mind can develop stories and change reality whilst under the influence of envy. In a sense it is a negative longing with a creative potential for good and/or bad - novels are written in the mind from this perspective. The song is inspired by the book Envy from 1927 by the novelist Yuri Olesha.”
Citizen Of Glass is released 21 October via Play It Again Sam.
