Adia Victoria returns with new single "The Needle's Eye"
Adia Victoria has shared new single "The Needle's Eye", the third taste of her forthcoming Silences record produced by The National's Aaron Dessner.
In October 2018 Adia Victoria announced her sophomore record Silences. So far we've heard two of the 12 tracks, "Dope Queen Blues" and "Different Kind Of Love".
Today she reveals new single "Needles Eye". Victoria explains, ""The Needle's Eye" was a song written in order to stave off and understand an anxiety while I stood in the shower in Reykjavik back in 2016. I decided to look my fears head on-fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of the unknown. I understood that hitherto that moment I had been avoiding all the small terrors tugging at my heart. The needle's eye is the result of allowing all the exiled parts of myself their due, to dance with warring drums. To allow every part of myself to be seen, felt, and heard."
Silences is her first full-length since 2016's Beyond the Bloodhounds, and is produced by The National's Aaron Dessner, and recorded in his upstate New York studio.
