Adele has confirmed the countless rumours - she's headlining Glastonbury's Saturday night.
Adele dropped the bombshell last night at a show at London's O2 Arena, reportedly telling the crowd: "I wanted to do it last year but my record wasn't ready. And to the people who say I am too boring to headline, you're more fucking boring for moaning about me headlining."
Glasto organiser Emily Eavis has been coy about Adele's booking; recently, when it was suggested that Adele would be a good headliner, Eavis said: "She would, wouldn’t she? It would be great to get her."
Adele herself said it was unlikely she'd ever top the Pyramid Stage last November, telling Capital London radio: “I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury… The crowds are too big - I don’t know if I could do it.”
The record-breaking singer joins fellow headliners Muse and Coldplay, as well as PJ Harvey, Jeff Lynne's ELO, and Grimes at the Worthy Farm event.
Glastonbury 2016 takes place 22-26 June, and is sold out.
