ABBA announce first album in 40 years with two new songs
ABBA have made their long-awaited comeback with news of their first album in 40 years Voyage, and have released two lead tracks "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don’t Shut Me Down".
After teasing an announcement via a new account called ABBA Voyage last week, ABBA have revealed that they've recorded a new album - their first in 40 years - and have unveiled two new tracks from the record titled "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don't Shut Me Down".
Voyage will follow the Swedish pop group's 1981 album The Visitors, and the album, which features 10 new songs, was recorded together at Benny’s studio Riksmixningsverket in Stockholm.
The album news is accompanied by detaills of their accompanying, revolutionary ABBA Voyage concert, which will see digital versions of Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid perform with a live 10-piece band in a purpose-built, 3,000 capacity arena at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London from 27 May 2022.
ABBA say, "We simply call it Voyage and we’re truly sailing in uncharted waters. With the help of our younger selves, we travel into the future. It’s not easy to explain but then it hasn’t been done
before."
