Aaron Taos announces deluxe edition of Birthday Boy, shares "Bloom" remix with eli. and Hojean
Having already shared a remix of viral hit "Control" and a rework of "Loneliness" with spill tab, today Aaron Taos confirms his debut album is getting a deluxe re-issue.
Independently released last year Birthday Boy was the culmination of years of work for Taos, who first hit our radar in 2015 with the single "Simple & Sober" taken from his debut EP GUITS.
The latest track to be taken from the re-issue is a remix of Taos' 2019 standalone single "Bloom". He explains "[it's] a track about forbidden love. In my case, my affection is for my friend's sister but because of the context, we can't act on it."
"The song serves as a confession about this underlying tension and me making the case to her that we should give in to our feelings," he adds.
"After describing my predicament, eli. and Hojean hopped on for the second and third verses to weigh in on their own experiences with this situation. The result is three guys singing their hearts out about forbidden fruit."
Set to include all three of Taos' latest single releases, the deluxe of edition the album, entitled Birthday Boy (Party Favors), will include more remixes as well as additional brand new material.
