A$AP Rocky pleads not guilty to assault charge in Sweden
A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty to his assault charge in Sweden after being detained for a month.
Earlier this month A$AP Rocky was arrested in Stockholm on suspicion of assault. He posted videos on his Instagram showing an insight into the alleged assault, and claimed that he was acting in self-defence against the men that followed their group.
The rapper was detained for three weeks while the investigation was carried out, which resulted with A$AP Rocky being charged with assault.
CBS News reports that A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty to the assault charge as his trial got underway today (30 July).
The court has apparently set aside the next two days for the trial, but it's not confirmed if the trial will go the full three days.
A$AP Rocky's charge could carry a maximum sentence of two years. The rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, has been in custody since 3 July and has consistently said he acted in self-defense.
