A Sunny Day In Glasgow's Jen Goma details solo project Showtime Goma, announces debut record
Jen Goma of A Sunny Day In Glasgow has announced Smiley Face, her first solo record as Showtime Goma, and revealed lead single "Big Disaster".
The album features contributions from Deerhoof's Greg Saunier, composer Shahzad Ismaily (Laurie Anderson, Tom Waits), plus "an assortment of Goma’s ASDiG pals."
"I had a bunch of songs and originally Greg and I were only going to work on a few of them but as amazing luck and good fortune would have it Greg, between Deerhoof tours, was able to make an appearance on almost every song on the album," Goma notes. "Whether it’s a Keith Richardsy riff or a sweet cracked/legit plugin, we worked on all of the songs together and I can hear him all over the record."
A Sunny Day In Glasgow's last release, the Planning Weed Like It’s Acid / Life Is Loss EP, was released in 2015.
