65daysofstatic detail No Man's Sky LP, air "Red Parallax", and announce huge tour
It's a big day for 65daysofstatic: they've detailed No Man's Sky, revealed new song "Red Parallax", and announced a mammoth tour.
The album is 65daysofstatic's soundtrack for No Man's Sky, an ambitious videogame set in a "procedurally generated universe" (find out more). The band's OST is described as "a self-generating soundtrack to infinity."
No Man's Sky: Music For An Infinite Universe is out via Laced on 5 August, with a range of formats available - including a rather lovely 4xLP edition. The art is created by frequent collaborator Caspar Newbolt (Version Industries).
The band's Paul Wolinski says of the new album and tour: "No Man's Sky is a project about a borderless universe of infinite possibility. It's certainly a brighter future to imagine than the one our little country just thrust upon Europe. We are always excited to be able to come and play shows in mainland Europe, now more than ever. Let's get some antifacist international solidarity going on and not let the demagoguery drag us down to the oblivion it has planned for us. See you on the road. Unless our passports are no good any more."
Tickets for 65daysofstatic's upcoming European tour will be on sale from 29 June.
