50 Cent pleads not guilty to domestic abuse charges
Rapper 50 Cent yesterday filed an official plea of not guilty in court, following domestic violence charges facing him.
Billboard report that Fiddy (real name Curtis Jackson) could be facing up to five years jail time and a $46,000 fine following an incident involving his girlfriend of three years, who is also the mother of his child.
Details of the case reportedly include five charges: one count of domestic violence and four of vandalism against the victim’s property. It is said that the rapper left $7,100 worth of damage to his ex-partner’s condo in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles.
The hip-hop star’s lawyer says that Jackson denies claims and will fight to prove his innocent. Jackson will return to court for a pretrial hearing on 4 September.
50 Cent is expected to release his next LP, Street King Immortal, later this year.
