50 Cent denies domestic abuse charges against his ex-girlfriend
Rapper 50 Cent has denied claims that he physically abused his ex-partner, following domestic violence charges facing him.
The Los Angeles Times report that Fiddy (real name Curtis Jackson) could be facing up to five years jail time and a $46,000 fine following an incident involving his girlfriend of three years, who is also the mother of his child. Details of the case reportedly include five charges: one count of domestic violence and four of vandalism against the victim’s property. The incident is said to have happened last month.
Now more details have emerged, with Billboard reporting that Jackson had “kicked open the bedroom door and kicked her, causing injury.” It is said that the rapper left $7,100 worth of damage on his ex-partner’s condo in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles.
The hip-hop star’s lawyer says that Jackson denies claims and will fight to prove his innocent. The case’s arraignment will take place on 22 July.
50 Cent is expected to release his next LP, Street King Immortal, later this year.
