2 Minutes of Silence features Thom Yorke, Bryan Ferry & others
There’s something a bit unusual about a new UK charity single, to be release as part of this year’s Remembrance Day.
Thom Yorke, Mark Ronson, Bryan Ferry, Bob Hoskins, Andy Murray and, erm, David Cameron have teamed up to produce ’2 Minute Silence’, a track of two minutes of complete quiet – all proceeds will be going to the British Legion’s Remembrance Day funds.
The Royal British Legion’s Director General Chris Simpkins said: “Rather than record a song, we felt the UK public would recognise the poignancy of silence and its clear association with remembrance.”
The single will be available for download on November 7.
