Rapper 2 Chainz was reportedly the victim of an armed robbery that occurred in San Francisco yesterday.
According to celebrity gossip website TMZ, San Francisco police were called to the scene at around 4:30 PM (PDT) after a report of shots having been fired. The rapper was in the city performing at the KMEL Summer Jam event.
TMZ claims that 2 Chainz- formerly known as Tity Boi- was not ‘cooperative’ with police upon their arrival, and that he told them he ‘wanted to handle himself.’ It appears that all that was stolen was the rapper’s wallet.
The Georgia-born artist is yet to speak about the incident, though Billboard notes that he did acknowledge a fan’s tweet on the matter.
