Lana Del Rey hints that she's debating playing Glastonbury Festival over line-up poster: "We'll see"
Lana Del Rey, who is due to headline The Other Stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival, has responded to her name placement on the 2023 line-up poster, hinting that she could pull out of the festival because there "was no consideration for announcing that."
Last Friday, 3 March, Arctic Monkeys and Guns N' Roses joined Elton John as headliners for this year's Glastonbury Festival, and Emily Eavis defended the all-male bill toppers, revealing that Guns N' Roses were booked after a female artist "changed her touring plans". She also said the music industry needs to back more female artists in order to create future headliners, and said of the male-dominated headliners for this year, "We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed. This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board."
Lana Del Rey, who is due to headline The Other Stage at this year's festival, responded to her name being placed lower on the 2023 poster via Instagram, hinting that there may be a possibility that she pulls out of the performance. Del Rey wrote, "Well I'm actually headlining the 2nd stage. But since there was no consideration for announcing that. We'll see."
