Krept & Konan launch Britain's first inclusive supermarket, Saveways

Launching in Krept & Konan’s hometown of Croydon in partnership with entrepreneur Kaysor Ali (Brand owner of the Steakout and Smacks Hamburgers Franchises), Saveways supermarket is set to create 30+ job opportunities; representing a transformative moment for retail inclusivity in the UK.

Designed to serve the rich diversity of Croydon and surrounding areas, the supermarket will feature: Fresh Halal Meat & Poultry Counter, Fresh & Frozen Exotic Fish Selection, Fresh Bakery Section, Global Produce and Fresh Fruit & Vegetables, Tinned, Ambient, Chilled, and Frozen Foods from Around the World, Household Essentials, Cosmetics, and Ethnic Hair & Beauty Products.

Saveways sets a new benchmark in the UK ethnic grocery market, specialising in world foods and premium halal produce. With onsite parking for over 30 vehicles, Saveways offers unmatched convenience for local shoppers. The store will also provide modern shopping solutions, including click & collect, online ordering, and availability on leading delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Just Eat.

Saveways is the latest business venture from Krept & Konan, who were awarded BEMs in 2020 for their contributions to music and their community in Croydon. It follows their other entrepreneurial successes, restaurant Crepes & Cones and Krept’s Nala’s Baby which after launching in 2022 is now 3 x Mother & Baby Awards winner that is stocked in all major UK supermarkets and is Boots’ fastest-growing natural baby skincare range.
