King Krule announces new album Space Heavy and releases "Seaforth"
Archy Marshall – AKA King Krule – officially announces his fourth studio album a week after details leak online.
Space Heavy took shape between 2020-2022 on his commutes between London and Liverpool – the two places he called home. After being written by King Krule, the music was further developed by frequent collaborator Dilip Harris and long-time band mates Ignacio Salvadores, George Bass, James Wilson and Jack Towell.
A year ago, King Krule posted a picture on his Instagram story which contained some of the song titles from the album which was spotted by some hawk-eyed Reddit users.
King Krule released his debut album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon ten years ago, and hasn't released any official solo music since 2020's Man Alive!
The single is accompanied by a Jocelyn Anquetil-directed music video – which leads on from their collaboration on the visual for "Alone, Omen 3" off Man Alive!.
Following the album’s release, King Krule will perform a series of out-store shows across the UK. Full dates and tickets can be found at kingkrule.net.
To celebrate the announcement of the album, King Krule has also released a series of exclusive merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, sliders, and new stock of his previous albums.
