Kevin Morby releases soundtrack for Montana Story film
Kevin Morby has released Music From Montana Story, a soundtrack for 2021's Montana Story film.
Montana Story, directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, was initially released in 2021, and today (25 January) Kevin Morby has released the full soundtrack for the film, alongside a video for the closing song "Like A Flower".
Music From Montana Story marks Morby's first film soundtrack, and follows his This Is A Photograph album that landed in May 2022.
"It has long been a dream of mine to one day score a film and with Montana Story I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect film to do so," Morby explained. "Against wide open landscapes the film is patiently and masterfully captured and it was my job, alongside my collaborator Rob Barbato, to write a score with as much beauty and depth as the film itself. I’m so proud of how everything turned out and am forever grateful to directors Scott McGehee and David Siegel for bringing me on."
Kevin Morby's Music From Montana Story soundtrack is out now on Dead Oceans.
