Kendrick Lamar kicks off new season of SNL with three-song set
On Saturday (1 October) Kendrick Lamar kicked off season 48 of Saturday Night Live with a three-song set featuring "Father Time" with Sampha, "Rich Spirit" and "N95".
Over the weekend Saturday Night Live returned, commencing the 48th season of the late-night US show, and the first episode, hosted by Miles Teller, featured musical guest Kendrick Lamar, marking his first SNL performance since joining Anderson .Paak in 2018 for their collaborative single "Tints".
To kick off the new season, Lamar performed three of his Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers tracks, including "Rich Spirit" and "N95", and also brought Sampha along to assist with "Father Time".
Next weekend's show will feature a performance from WILLOW, and will be hosted by Brendan Gleeson, and Megan Thee Stallion is both the host and the musical guest for SNL on 15 October.
