Kelly Clarkson covers Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire" for Halloween edition of Kellyoke
For the latest instalment of Kellyoke on her daytime TV show, Kelly Clarkson sang a cover of Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire".
Kellyoake is one of the most anticipated segments on The Kelly Clarkson show, and her halloween performances are no different. Last year, she performed “Monster Mash", whilst her 2021 cover came in the form of the classic halloween hit, "Ghostbusters".
This year, however, Clarkson opted for a brand new release as opposed to a classic. She decided to take on Olivia Rodrigo's single "Vampire", which kicked off the campaign for her second studio album, GUTS. Opting for a daytime TV friendly version of the lyrics, she sang the words "dream crusher", instead of "fame fucker".
Other covers on Clarkson's Kellyoake segment have included "Stayaway" by MUNA, Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You", Taylor's Swift's "Better Man", and "The One That Got Away" by Katy Perry.
GUTS was recorded with producer Daniel Nigro, who also collaborated with her on the 2021 debut album, SOUR, which saw her nominated for seven Grammy Awards.
GUTS is out now.
