Kate Bush has “lots of ideas” for new music
In a recent interview with Emma Barnett, on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Kate Bush revealed that she may be getting back into the studio to record new music.
Kate Bush is currently promoting a short animation film, Little Shrew, which she wrote and directed to raise money for children affected by war. Little Shrew, set to the audio of her song "Snowflake" was made with the intention of encouraging people to donate to War Child.
Speaking about the project, she explained: “I started working on it a couple of years ago, it was not long after the Ukrainian war broke out, and I think it was such a shock for all of us. It’s been such a long period of peace we’d all been living through. And I just felt I wanted to make a little animation to draw attention to how horrific it is for children.”

Kate Bush also revealed that she has been doing some archival work recently ("redesigning our website, putting a lyric book together"), but looking to the future, she says: "I’m very keen to start working on a new album when I’ve got this finished. I’ve got lots of ideas and I’m really looking forward to getting back into that creative space, it’s been a long time.” She added that in the last year, she has felt "really ready to start doing something new.”
