Kali Uchis unveils new single "NO HAY LEY"
Kali Uchis has delivered her first new solo outing in nearly two years, "NO HAY LEY".
After joining Mura Masa on a remix of "blessing me" in August, Kali Uchis has released "NO HAY LEY", her first new solo material since releasing her 2020 Spanish album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios).
Pitchfork reports that Uchis said of the song, "I wrote this song about putting love above all else. "En el amor no hay ley" means "there are no laws to love". Be with who makes you happy, and don’t listen to what anyone else has to say about it because it wasn’t their business in the first place!"
Prior to uniting with Mura Masa last month, Kali Uchis covered Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto’s "Desafinado" for the Minions: The Rise of Gru soundtrack in May.
