Kali Uchis unveils new single "I Wish You Roses"
Kali Uchis is back with her first single of 2023, "I Wish You Roses".
"I Wish You Roses" is Uchis' first new material since her "No Hay Ley" single landed in September last year, and is teamed with a Cho Gi-Seok-directed video.
Uchis says of the single, "This song is about being able to release people with love. It could be a friend, a lover, or someone else, but the point is to celebrate releasing people from your life without being resentful or bitter."
Back in April last year Uchis revealed on Twitter that she had finished her next two albums. She also said one is an English album, and the other is Spanish, and earlier this month she provided an update, writing, "dropping both 2023."
Uchis' third album will follow her 2020 Spanish album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios).
Kali Uchis' "I Wish You Roses" single is out now on Geffen Records.
