Justin Trudeau invites Taylor Swift to bring The Eras Tour to Canada
Yesterday afternoon, Taylor Swift extended the dates on the international leg of The Eras Tour, which includes dates in South America, Asia, Europe and the UK.
Swift kicked off The Eras Tour earlier this year in the US, and there has been incredible anticipation for her to bring the tour to the rest of the world.
Last month, she added more shows to the US leg – which total to 35 shows – before announcing the international dates. Despite them not actually being on sale yet, Swift added 14 more shows to the UK/EU leg and announced that Paramore will be her special guests. The new addition comes after she announced shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe earlier this week.
As of yet, there are no Canadian dates for her international tour, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau responded to Swift's tweet with paraphrased lyrics from her own songs, posting: "It's me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don't make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon."
