Joy (Anonymous) release Sugababes rework "JOY (Push The Button)"
London-based Joy (Anonymous) have released their brand new track, “JOY (Push The Button)”, as an official rework of the Sugababes’ 00’s banger, “Push The Button”.
The official release of “JOY (Push The Button)” has been eagerly awaited by fans: the duo have been playing the track in their sets across 2023, including at Alexandra Palace with Fred again... The track was originally a bootleg but after the Sugababes themselves heard it, they loved it so much that they gave the official release the green light.
Going deeper into the track, Joy say, “Sugababes’ “Push The Button” is an iconic track so we had some fun in the studio making a bootleg version that we didn’t expect to put out. But the reception and support was amazing and then to hear the girls themselves loved it was pretty cool. So we all got together and thought, no better Christmas present than giving people what they’ve been asking for. Merry Christmas”.
The new edit has also been a big moment for the resurgent Sugababes, they say: “We heard this bootleg of Push The Button being played all summer, and the reaction was insane, so we’re excited to now team up officially with Joy Anonymous to release the song as a special present to you guys to see out 2023".
Joy (Anonymous) recently released their new album Cult Classics and sold out their largest headline show to date at the Roundhouse in London.
