JFDR shares new single "Life Man" from forthcoming album Museum
Following on from lead single "The Orchid", JFDR aka Jófríður Ákadóttir releases "Life Man", the third single from her upcoming album Museum.
With the help of her partner Josh Wilkinson (One Direction, Alexandra Burke), JFDR created the song which she says is a reflection on when life begins to slow down after a hectic period. It's about the moments "when you get a second to breathe and an overwhelming wave of existentialism hits you in the face. It’s a good time to ask questions, as it is all very strange indeed," she adds.
The single is accompanied by a video directed by Clump Collective (Katy J Pearson, Grandmas House, mui zyu).
Having previously written original scores for Backyard Village and Sisterhood, JFDR's upcoming release, Museum, will be her first full-length album since the release of New Dreams in 2020.
"This album is a step to somewhere,” she says, “I feel I’m right in the middle of a new body of work."
"Life Man" is out now. Museum will be released 28 April on Houndstooth, and is available to pre-order now. JFDR will play London's St Matthias Church on 10 May. Tickets are available via jfdrcurrent.com.
