JAZZ RE:FEST returns to Southbank Centre after seven year hiatus with Kyra, Poppy Daniels and more
Surpassing their 20th anniversary Jazz re:freshed have announced their return to Southbank Centre following a seven-year hiatus to present the 11th edition of their annual festival JAZZ RE:FEST 2024 on Saturday 20 July.
The free event is part of Southbank Centre’s ‘You Belong Here’ series exploring why we all feel the very human need to belong in our communities and our spaces. KYRA, Cykada, Summer Pearl, and Newcastle jazz outfit Knats are on the lineup alongside Pianists Sultan Stevenson and INSXGHT plus trumpeter Poppy Daniels.
“So proud JAZZ RE:FEST is returning to Southbank Centre this summer, bringing the cutting edge of the UK Jazz scene to our free stages. I’ve always been in awe of the incredible talent and sense of community Jazz re:freshed create. Very proud they’ll be bringing all this energy as part of You Belong Here - helping us shout that UK Jazz and Black British Jazz belongs at Southbank Centre," says Adem Holness, Head of Contemporary Music, Southbank Centre.
