Janelle Monáe unveils new album The Age of Pleasure
Janelle Monáe shares new single "Lipstick Lover" alongside the announcement of her fifth studio album, The Age of Pleasure.
"Lipstick Lover" comes with a video directed by Janelle Monáe and Alan Ferguson. The single follows "Float" feat. Seun Kuti + Egypt 80.
The forthcoming album, The Age of Pleasure, will follow 2018's Dirty Computer which featured "I Got the Juice" featuring Pharrell Williams.
Of the album, Monáe says: "As we enter into The Age Of Pleasure, ‘Lipstick Lover’ is our freeassmothafucka anthem inspired by f.a.m. for f.a.m. This is our oasis made with love, rooted in self-acceptance, throbbing in self-discovery, and signed with cherry red kisses from me to you”.
"Lipstick Lover" is out now. The Age of Pleasure arrives on 9 June via Wondaland Arts Society/Atlantic Records, and is available to pre-order now.
