Jamie T announced as 6 Music's next Artist in Residence
Jamie T is BBC 6 Music's latest Artist in Residence, and will host 10 weekly shows beginning today (14 December).
6 Music's Artist in Residence series started in 2020, and Jamie T is the latest artist to take on the role, following in the footsteps of Angel Olsen, Arlo Parks, IDLES, Mykki Blanco, Perfume Genius, Father John Misty, Fontaines D.C., Loyle Carner, Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Wolf Alice and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Beginning today (14 December), Jamie T will host 10 weekly shows. The first episode sees Jamie T recreate his Panic Prevention Vol. 1 mixtape, taking listeners on a journey through songs and artists that inspired that particular project, including The Clash, Prince, Paul Weller and The Beastie Boys.
Next Wednesday (21 December) Jamie T will share his biggest influences with listeners, which features The Clash, Audio Bullys, Cat Power, The Jam and Misfits.
