Jade Bird returns with Mura Masa collaboration, "Burn The Hard Drive"
Following a two-year hiatus UK-born, Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Jade Bird has returned with the brand new single, "Burn The Hard Drive", which is a collaboration with producer and songwriter, Mura Masa.
After weeks of teasing the release on her socials, and even teasing the collaboration with Mura Masa via a PinkPantheress cover, Jade Bird has finally released the follow-up to her 2022 standalone singles, "White Winter Hymnal", and "American Pie", as well as her 2021 album, Different Kinds of Light, which followed her 2019 self-titled debut.
"Burn the Hard Drive was a song I wrote while still in my last relationship. I think my subconscious knew before I did that it was over. But also, that the ending would be where so much more could begin," she shared on Instagram. "Working with @the_mura_masa has been the purest process. When I got emotional hearing it back after the breakup, he helped me finish it and not erase it, fittingly like everything else."
She also revealed that she has been working with Aries Moross on creative direction, following their initial collaboration on her debut single, "Lottery".
"Burn The Hard Drive" featuring Mura Masa is out now.
