Jack White announced as new headliner for Øya Festival 2024
Øya Festival have announced some new editions for its 2024 lineup.
After the news that Queens of the Stone Age and The Smile were both forced to cancel their sets at next month’s Øya, the Oslo-based festival has confirmed two replacements for its 25th anniversary event, with Jack White will now headline the Friday night, and Air performing on the same day.
Last week, Jack White surprised and astounded fans with the unexpected release of his No Name album, which was given out free to visitors at his Third Man stores in Nashville, Detroit and London for one day only.
The new additions now mean that Øya’s 2024 headliners will be: PJ Harvey and Pulp (Wednesday), Janelle Monáe (Thursday), Jack White (Friday) and Gabrielle (Saturday). Other big names performing across the week include The Kills, Vince Staples, The National, Slowdive, Big Thief, Arca, Sampha and IDLES.
Øya Festival will return to Oslo's Tøyenparken from 7-10 August. Visit oyafestivalen.no for tickets and more information.
