Injury Reserve will officially continue on as By Storm
By Storm share their debut release, "Double Trio".
Injury Reserve began as the creative outlet for three friends from Phoenix, Arizona; rappers Stepa J. Groggs (Jordan Groggs) and RiTchie With a T (Nathaniel Ritchie), and producer Parker Corey. However, in summer 2020, as the trio were close to finalising their second album, Groggs tragically and unexpectedly passed away.
Today, surviving bandmates RiTchie and Parker share the final output under the Injury Reserve name and their debut offering as newly-formed duo By Storm.
The double video, directed by Parker, opens with "Bye Storm", the last track of Injury Reserve's final album, 2021's By The Time I Get to Phoenix, and concludes with a visual for "Double Trio", the debut single from By Storm.
"To respect the specificity of all three of us as Injury Reserve, we have decided not to make new music under this name. Nathaniel and Parker have continued working together and plan to release under By Storm as a hand off from our work within Injury Reserve," they explain.
