iDKHOW shares new single "GLOOMTOWN BRATS"
I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW), the musical project of Salt Lake City-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dallon Weekes, releases "GLOOMTOWN BRATS".
The track is the second single off his forthcoming sophomore album, GLOOM DIVISION. For Weekes, the Joe DiMaggio quote "rich boys don't make it to the majors” became his guiding light growing up poor while trying to find his footing as a musician. The mantra is central in the single that centres an apocalypse of vanities – the nepotistic lifestyles that are rarely earned and always flaunted.
Produced by Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, MGMT, Weezer), the forthcoming album showcases a fusion of R&B, post-punk and art-pop, exploring themes ranging from love and obsession to satanic panic and neurodivergence. Recorded at Fridmann's Tarbox Road Studios and Weekes' own basement studio, GLOOM DIVISION is a testament to the power of collaboration and fearless artistic expression.
iDKHOW's second album, GLOOM DIVISION, is set for release on 23 February via Concord Records, and is available to pre-order.
