IDER – AKA British duo made up of Megan Markwick and Lily Somerville – have returned with new single “Unlearn”.
Explaining the single and its inspiration further, IDER state: “It’s about unlearning the conditioning and narratives we were told as children that no longer serve us, or in fact were never necessarily true. It’s a call to return to a deeper sense of self; taking off the layers of learnt ideals and behaviours that were never really ours in the first place and remembering where we came from.
“The lyric “be big, be brave, be special” was a phrase Meg’s mum used to say to her and her sisters every time they’d leave the house and it has unintentionally become our mantra - thanks Mum”.
“Unlearn” follows the recent single "Girl", an a return to live performing at a sold-out London headline show at The Lower Third with an additional sold out London show in November at Hoxton Hall.
