
Icelandic singer/songwriter Prins Póló dies aged 45
Svavar Pétur Eysteinsson, better known as Icelandic singer/songwriter Prins Póló, has died aged 45 after being diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2018.
According to Iceland Review, Eysteinsson was diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2018, and his death was announced yesterday (29 September). His last music release was a joint EP with S.H. Draumur titled Sjoppan, which only arrived last week.
His latest Prins Póló album - Falskar Minningar - was released in 2020.
