Honeyglaze present new single, "Pretty Girls"
London trio Honeyglaze have returned with their new song “Pretty Girls” as the third taste of their forthcoming album Real Deal.
Speaking of the single, Honeyglaze say: “Pretty Girls is our poppiest song yet, and we reworked it intermittently over a couple of years. I think we were hesitant to lean into the simplicity of it for a while, as we normally love pushing our arrangements and going for more unconventional parts. We really stripped this song back, tried not to overcomplicate it and just enjoyed how fun and groovy it is. The song is about resisting the urge to indulge in bad habits. The line ‘I’m in touch with my feminine side I always wear pink’ was actually taken from a conversation I overheard, it’s one of my favourite lyrics because I still don’t know whether it’s sarcastic or not."
The band have also released an accompanying video directed by James Ogram. “Pretty Girls” follows the release of their previous tracks “Cold Caller” and “Don’t”.
Honeyglaze are set to perform a number of instores in September in support of the release. They will be performing four shows in London, Nottingham, Bristol and Leeds, this is an addition to their previously announced full UK tour in November and December.
Real Deal, is set for release on 20 September via Fat Possum, and is available to pre-order.
