Honeyblood launches GoFundMe to help pay artists that played liquidated festival Doune The Rabbit Hole
Honeyblood's Stina Tweeddale has launched a new fundraiser attempting to pay artists that played Doune The Rabbit Hole, a Scottish festival that recently changed management after going into liquidation.
Over the past few months numerous artists that played Stirling's Doune The Rabbit Hole festival have revealed that they are still waiting to be paid. As The Herald reports, organisers said at the time the delayed payments were due to "supply chain issues", but in a recent statement, the festival announced that the 2023 edition will be managed by Festival Beverage and Property Services Ltd, after the company that ran this year's festival (Doune The Rabbit Hole Festival Ltd), "suffered huge financial difficulty as a result of the pandemic," resulting in the company going into liquidation.
The statement also saw Festival Beverage and Property Services Ltd pledge to "try to repay artists, crew and suppliers from the event in 2022 as soon as possible," but Honeyblood's Stina Tweeddale has attempted to speed up the process by launching a GoFundMe.
Tweeddale wrote in the GoFundMe description, "This summer I, and many other incredible artists had the pleasure of performing at a festival in Scotland called Doune The Rabbit Hole. Unfortunately, many of us are still waiting to be paid for our work. Last week the festival went into liquidation and although Doune The Rabbit Hole has said publicly they will pay all creditors, it doesn't look promising."
"The music industry has had a few difficult years," Tweeddale continued. "If you are a music lover or gig-goer, you will know! We as artists need to be paid in full and on time just like any other business. I have set up this Go Found Me to help raise cash to pay the artists affected by this situation. I'm aware we won't be able to pay everyone their fees in full but maybe we can give a little cushion just in time for Christmas."

It’s been a really rough time for the music industry. But sadly @dounetherabbit still haven’t paid me, my band or my crew for our work. pic.twitter.com/FdaUDliR5R
