Heatmiser announce compilation of unheard recordings in partnership with Third Man Records
Heatmiser (Elliott Smith, Neil Gust) have teamed up with Third Man Records to release The Music of Heatmiser.
Legendary 90s Pacific Northwest Indie band Heatmiser (Elliott Smith, Neil Gust) are teaming up with Third Man Records to release a compilation of previously unheard recordings entitled The Music of Heatmiser.
Along with today's album announcement, the band have shared the lead single, a recording of the Smith-sung "Lowlife", alongside a live video of the song from the band's prime. Though formally released on their 1993 debut LP Dead Air, this recording of the track comes from their 1992 demo cassette, and has never been officially released until now.
The original 6 song Heatmiser demo cassette, along with 23 demos, live tracks, rare versions and never before released songs, will be available on vinyl and streaming for the first time.
"Lowlife" is out now. The Music of Heatmiser on arrives on 6 October.
