Hannah Georgas shares new single "Beautiful View"
"Beautiful View" is the follow-up to Hannah’s first release of 2023, "This Too Shall Pass", which marks her first releases with Lucy Rose's Real Kind Records.
Speaking about the new track, Georgas explains: “I think this song came at a time when I was feeling a real sense of calm and realisation. It’s about seeing the beauty in the things we can take for granted, from our health to those who care for us. It’s about having perspective and recognising the things we often overlook. It’s about enjoying the moment, even if it’s not a breathtaking high or grand achievement. Instead of sweating the small stuff I’m trying to be more present and thankful.”
Where Hannah’s last record, 2020’s All That Emotion, was produced alongside Aaron Dessner, her next album finds Georgas behind the glass. Joining her is partner Sean Sroka (of Ten Kills The Pack) in a co-production capacity. Other musicians that contributed along the way include James McAlister on drums (one of Sufjan Steven’s regular confidantes), Graham Walsh (whose synth and bass regularly peppers records by the likes of Holy Fuck and Metz), and Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy’s go-to collaborator, but has also worked with War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, and Spoon) who contributed his drum programming skills.
To coincide with the sharing of new music, Hannah Georgas announces details of a London headline date for next month. On 18 May, she will play The House of St. Barnabas in Soho.
