Griff brings forward release date of her debut album, Vertigo
The news comes after Griff opened up for Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour, and recently was announced to be supporting Sabrina Carpenter in the US.
Introducing Griff on stage at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, Swift commented to the audience: “you started off getting to see an artist I am such a huge fan of. This girl, she is so creative on every single level. She’s in complete control of everything that goes into her writing, her producing, she even makes her own outfits for stage. I love her so much, and I’m so happy that she decided to come out and perform and open up this show.”
To mark the occasion, Griff designed her own, deconstructed gown directly inspired by the lyrics of ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ (“now I'm running with my dress unbuttoned / screaming "But Daddy I love him!") and now, she's launched a competition to win her hand-made dress.
Last week, Griff released "Anything" which followed recent single “Miss Me Too". Speaking about the album, Griff comments: “the album is about vertigo as an emotion and the dizziness and upside down feeling of heartache. I wanted to drop this project in parts from insular low feelings (Vol.1) to desperate euphoria (Vol.2) and with volume three, the full story.”
vertigo is now set for release on 12 July via Warner Music. In order to win the dress she made for the Taylor Swift show, pre-order the album via officialgriff.com.
