Gretel Hänlyn covers Elliott Smith live in session for Best Fit
London-based artist Gretel Hänlyn performs a cover of Elliott Smith's Either/Or track "Angeles" live in session exclusively for The Line of Best Fit in partnership with Crouch End Studios.
Speaking about her song choice, Gretel Hänlyn, real name Maddy Haenlein, tells Best Fit, ""Angeles" was a song I had on repeat in my early teens in that age where you’re getting moulded by the music around you and starting to develop your music taste. Discovering Elliott Smith was a huge part in me learning to play guitar, as well as feeling emotionally represented with sonics."
Haenlein's Elliott Smith cover follows last week's single "Drive", which marked her first outing since her May debut EP Slugeye. On 13 November, she'll play Pitchfork Music Festival in London at The Roundhouse. Visit gretelhanlyn.com for the full list of live dates.
