Gracie Gray announces forthcoming album, Magnet
LA singer-songwriter and producer Gracie Gray has announced her new album Magnet, alongside new single, "Burden".
"Burden" is the third track to appear from the upcoming album following previous singles, “Wishes” and “Sea of Glass”.
"With eyes closed looking up, images painted slowly float by while listening to 'Burden'. This new single asks questions that have been waiting to be heard: is there any more safety to be felt in our lives once we are born? Is there any day that you would once again be held, enveloped in unconditional love, without feeling like a burden?," Gray explains.
Speaking further on the album, Gray adds: "Making this album was incredibly challenging and rewarding at the same time.. I feel like these songs showed and continue to show me parts of myself I couldn’t get to any other way. And, in a technical sense, producing and mixing it grew me in a very different way. A huge part of this solo project is just giving myself room to grow and do whatever I want, no rules. Even if I can’t do what I’m attempting to in the eyes of some people, I’m trying to and I’m having a lot of fun."
gnet is her third full-length effort and follows 2022’s acclaimed anna.
