Grace Carter returns with first new single since 2021 "Pick Your Tears Up"
Grace Carter is back with "Pick Your Tears Up", her first new music since 2021.
"Pick Your Tears Up" is Carter's first new outing since "Dark Matter" landed in November 2021, and is, according to a press release, the first taste of more new music arriving this year.
Carter says, ""Pick Your Tears Up" is a song I wrote to myself. I wrote it at a time when I was empty, I had let too many people in and given too much of myself away to the point where I felt like I had nothing left. The thing I love so much about this song is that it feels different from me, but what makes it so special is that every instrument in it except the percussion was made using my voice at a time where I felt like I had completely lost my voice. This song felt like the start of me finding it again. In a way, I guess this song is the most “me” sounding thing I’ve ever made."
She's yet to follow up her 2018 debut EP Why Her Not Me.
