Gloria Gaynor praises Miley Cyrus' "Flowers", says it "carries the torch of empowerment"
"I Will Survive" singer Gloria Gaynor has praised Miley Cyrus' recent single "Flowers", saying it "carries the torch of empowerment and encourages everyone to find strength in themselves".
Last week Cyrus returned with her first single of the year, "Flowers", which is also the lead outing from her eighth album Endless Summer Vacation that's out in March.
Earlier this week on Instagram, Gloria Gaynor, the voice behind the legendary "I Will Survive" hit, praised Cyrus' latest single, writing, "I’m in Nashville working on new music and just heard, "Flowers", for the first time, Miley Cyrus … Your new song carries the torch of empowerment and encourages everyone to find strength in themselves to persevere and thrive. Well done Miley!"
Cyrus' Endless Summer Vacation album will follow 2020's Plastic Hearts, and was recorded in LA with Kid Harpoon, Greg Kurstin, Mike WiLL Made-It and Tyler Johnson. Cyrus describes the album as her love letter to LA.
"Flowers" is out now. Miley Cyrus' Endless Summer Vacation will arrive on 10 March, and is available to pre-order now.
