Girls Aloud announce deluxe reissue of, What Will The Neighbours Say?
Girls Aloud have announced a deluxe anniversary reissue of their second album, What Will The Neighbours Say?, to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
As part of the deluxe edition of their 2004 album, three never-before-heard songs will be released, alongside rarities, unreleased demos and exclusive remixes, including a cover of Chris Isaac’s "Wicked Game", alongside "Disco Bunny" and "Baby When You Go". B-sides including "Androgynous Girls" and "History" will be included on the album, as well as a selection of covers including "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan, and "Hanging On The Telephone" by Blondie.
Later this year, the band will embark on a headline tour in celebration of their 20th anniversary.
The shows will be dedicated to their former bandmate, Harding, who died of cancer in 2021. Speaking to BBC News about the shows, Roberts said: "We're going to do our absolute utmost to celebrate her in the most enormous, magical way". Walsh added: “For us, it will feel very much like she’s there. She came alive on stage. That was the happiest she ever was. With grief, there’s definitely a shift where it’s like, ‘OK, you’re ready to celebrate that person.’”
What Will The Neighbours Say? will be reissued on 8 March, and is available to pre-order now.
