Girl Ray release their new single "Up"

“Up” follows the release of “Everybody’s Saying That”, and “Hold Tight”.

About the track, the band’s guitarist and lead singer, Poppy Hankin, said: “Written at the beginning of my current relationship, “Up” deals with all the emotions of a fledgling romance: adoration, self-doubt, and everything in between! Musically we wanted to pay homage to the sparseness of Queen’s “Cool Cat”, and the groove of Bowie’s “Fame””.

Prestige was co-produced by Poppy Hankin with the Grammy Award-winning producer, Ben H. Allen (M.I.A, Gnarls Barkley, Christina Aguilera, Deerhunter) and takes the charm of their debut, Earl Grey (2017), and the indie-fied R&B of 2019’s Girl, and injects it with '80s disco pop.

Girl Ray have also announced a headline UK and European tour this November and December. The tour kicks off with a run of European dates before hitting the UK and Ireland, culminating in a London show at Village Underground on 3 December.
