girl in red has shared a cover of "Girlfriend Is Better", as the latest single from A24 Music’s compilation Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense.
After teasing Paramore’s cover of “Burning Down The House”, Teezo Touchdown’s “Making Flippy Flop” and Lorde’s “Take Me To The River”, A24 Music has revealed the full tracklisting and release date for Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense.
Today, on the 40th anniversary of the Stop Making Sense premiere at the San Francisco Film Festival, girl in red has shared her version of “Girlfriend Is Better", which comes on the heels of the release of her brand new album I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!.
Speaking of the experience, girl in red says: “Talking Heads is an iconic band that helped define my identity when I was a teenager and they continue to inspire young people all around the world. Being a part of this tribute is so sick and I’m super grateful I was given the opportunity. Talking Heads forever!!!!”
