Genesis Owusu unveils second single from his forthcoming album on “Tied Up!"
Multi-ARIA award-winning Ghanaian-Australian artist, Genesis Owusu today releases his newest single, “Tied Up!”.
Premiered on BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record with Clara Amfo, “Tied Up!” was produced by Sol Was (Beyoncé’s Renaissance) and Henry Was (Justin Jay, Thumpasaurus).
Continuing his creative collaboration with globally-celebrated Aotearoa (New Zealand) visual artist, Lisa Reihana, the surreal music video for “Tied Up!” sees Owusu characterised as a boxer, going to battle for himself whilst running from his demons.
"Tied Up!" follows the previous single, “Leaving The Light”, which was released amidst a tour supporting Paramore and Bloc Party.
STRUGGLER follows Genesis Owusu's 2021 debut album, Smiling With No Teeth, and was recorded between the US and Australia with multiple producers including Jason Evigan (Rufus Du Sol, SZA), to Mikey Freedom Hart, Sol Was, Andrew Klippel and Dave Hammer.
STRUGGLER arrives on 18 August via OURNESS / AWAL, and is available to pre-order now.
