Gena Rose Bruce announces new EP, Lighting Up
Alongside the news she shares a reworking of “Destroy Myself (Avoid Myself Orchestral Version)”.
Gena Rose Bruce quickly follows up her critically acclaimed second album Deep Is The Way with the announcement of the forthcoming EP, Lighting Up.
Bruce enlists the Budapest Art Orchestra to breathe new life into the single. Opening up about the reimagining of the track, she says: "Bringing these songs to live again with the Budapest Art Orchestra was something pretty unique. It was all done via zoom, and we only had an hour to record with the orchestra, so a lot of preparation was done beforehand but we were so nervous about how much we could do in an hour, but it seemed to work and the end result was incredible, it's amazing how the strings can bring such emotion to the songs."
Lighting Up arrives on 1 September, and is available to pre-order now.
